Wright mowers has introduced their all new ZXT model for 2021. This mower may be a contender for one of the best commercial zero turn mowers on the market. This thing is absolutely next level innovation.
There are a ton of different features on this mower that will improve productivity and overall performance of the mower. It seems like there wasn't an inch of this mower that doesn't serve a purpose.
The more time I spent around it the more features I noticed. It really has everything that a commercial zero turn mower needs. This thing is truly next level. Let's look into some of the details.

The Wright ZXT is a top-of-the-line zero turn, comparable to the Ferris ISX3300 and Gravely Pro-Turn 600.

Power
The Wright ZXT is equipped with the 40 HP Vanguard with Oil Guard. This engine was first seen on the Ferris ISX3300 and boy is this thing a beast. It is one of the most powerful engines on the market.
The oil guard is an incredible feature that was introduced a couple years ago. As I had guessed, this technology is beginning to find itself on many different manufacturers outside of only Ferris.
If you don't know, the oil guard system is a dry sump design that allows you to go up to 500 hours in between oil changes. This is a game changer for commercial lawn care users.
The Hydro-Gear 16CC pumps and 18CC drive motors – 1000 hour 8 qt hydro oil system is something else new to the market. This is one of the first mowers to introduce this technology.
The new oil system allows a longer time period between hydro oil changes. This is another huge advantage to commercial lawn care companies.
Features
The Wright ZTX definitely isn't lacking features. It has a ton of new innovative things like the hydro oil system, oil guard system and suspension platform.
- Suspension seat
- Suspension platform
- 1,000 hour Hydro Oil System
- 500 hour oil guard system
- 40 HP Vanguard Engine
- Foot parking break
- Foot deck adjustment (raise and lower)
- Large tires
Cut Quality
The overall cut quality of the Wright ZXT is pretty good. This mower features Wright's Aero Core deck. This is the normal deck that they have on most of their commercial stand ons and other zero turns.
This deck is durable and cuts many different types of grass well. It probably isn't my favorite deck in the world but it is definitely one of the better cutting decks in the commercial mower market.
One of the best parts of this new mower design is the height of cut adjustment. It has a super easy to read height of cut adjustment with a single pin. The best part is the foot level to change the height of cut… You can raise and lower the deck with your foot. I believe this is the first time I've ever seen this. It is actually an incredible feature.
Comfort
The Wright ZXT is probably one of the most comfortable suspension flatform zero turns that I have rode. I think it rides better than both the Gravely Pro-Turn 600 and Toro 5000 series. The main reason is because the control arms are built into the suspension platform.
In most other suspension platform mowers only the seat and foot panel is suspended. This cause the control arms to stay in place while you are moving with the flatform. This causes the ride to feel a little awkward when riding on rough terrain.
I still wouldn't say this mower is as comfortable as the Ferris ISX3300 but it definitely at the top of the list for most comfortable suspension platforms. The combination of the suspension seat makes it incredibly comfortable. I am very impressed with this mowers platform suspension.
Aesthetics
The ZTX is a great looking mower, overall. It has a modern and sleep look to it that really makes it stand out. The entire machine seems like it was built the way it was for a reason. There seems to be a use or functionality behind every part of this mower.
Build Quality
Wright's build quality in general has always been great. They take a lot of pride in manufacturing a top notch mower. The ZXT is no exception. This mower is built incredibly well. For not really being know for zero turn mowers this thing is very impressive.
Only time will tell, but from the looks of it and initial impressions this mowers seems like it will hold up for a very long time.
Safety
The safety features of this mower are much like the rest of the commercial zero turn mowers in the industry. It has your normal shut off switches in the seat, a ROPS, and other safety switches. Overall, it appears to be a safe mower.

Sir my question is why would one want a zero turn with rear tire at 26” or one with 24” tires. What the advantages to to larger tire size.
Slightly better hillside stability and easier to drive over curbs.
