  1. I have owned my Regent for two years now and my only complaints are the use of non nylon locking nuts on components that move, I have had several nuts and bolts that have fallen off and had to be replaced with the locking type nuts to secure them to the tractor. The floating deck is another story, unless you have a perfectly level lawn I wouldn’t buy this mower, I have had the mower deck stops get hung up on the frame rails due to the swaying movement and bouncing of the mower deck, the rear rollers on the deck make your lawn look nice with the stripes but if the soil is slightly moist dirt collects on the rollers and in between the rollers causing them not to roll, this will rip out your grass because the rollers are skidding across the grass especially while making turns. The bagging system offered for the Regent is junk is the reason I didn’t buy one. I plan on selling mine in the spring for a John Deere

  2. Terrible bagging system Sits low to the ground. When bags are full they drag the ground, used it once already wearing on the bottom of one bag.

  3. Steve, it sounds like you didn’t buy the right machine for your application and use. Sounds like your cutting a field not your lawn. Mowing when it’s wet and muddy? My 2008 with the floating deck performs very well. Good luck with the John Deere, I hope you like replacing belts! Read the reviews and from my experience.
