The 154 and 148 EFI models are both powered by Kohler engines, while the 160 EFI and 160 KW feature Kawasaki engines. All four models come with an exclusive Cub Cadet EFI system for optimum fuel efficiency and consistent Starts every time.

The 154 and 148 EFI models also feature a heavy-duty welded steel frame and commercial-grade hydrostatic transmission for lasting durability. The 160 EFI and 160 KW models come with a larger operator station with an adjustable seat, cup holder, and ergonomic controls for added comfort.

It uses a Kohler engine with 12cc Hydro-Gear® ZT 3400 with charge pumps. Its maximum forward speed is 9.5 miles per hour and its reverse speed is 4.5 miles per hour. Also, it uses dual 3.5 gallon tanks. It has a maximum output of 27 HP.

  1. Cub pro z 100. Worst purchase ever made. 142 hours multiple trips for repair now out of warranty and still does not run. Bought when they first came out maby 7 years ago. Fuel injected Kohler 27 hp do not buy. Never fixed should have been rapaired.

    1. I have the same engine in my mower. It will start but will die soon after. I have went through everything I can find and cleaned everything that is suggested as the problem. What was you problem and did you ever find a solution.
